Holistic report “Monitoring of human rights of people with disabilities in Republic of Moldova”

Within the course of the project “Monitoring of human rights of people with disabilities in Moldova” implemented in a partnership between Motivation from Chisinau and Center for Society Orientation from Belgrade, the Monitoring report on disability rights in Moldova has been published. The Report was presented to public at the press conference held in Chisinau on 10th June 2014 as a result of joint project of COD and Motivation supported by EU Delegation in Moldova through European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). Project has been using methodology of holistic monitoring of disability rights designed by Disability Rights Promotion International (DRPI), a global initiative, which COD is part of as DRPI Europe Regional Center for monitoring the rights of persons with disabilities. The Report points out the key issues that people with disabilities in Moldova are facing with and it lists the recommendations for improvement the position of people with disabilities, which will represent significant tool for further advocacy efforts in field of disabilitz for all Disabled People’s Organizations and other civil society organizations in Moldova.
